An prospect has arisen within the West of Scotland Rehabilitation & Mobility Centre (WestMARC) at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) facility.

The post holder will work within a small workshop and technical team under the supervision of the Technical Services Manager. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria.

Skilled

Worker visa and Health and Care Worker visa Permanent, full-time Shift Pattern - 8.30-4.30, Monday to Friday Base location - Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Provide technical expertise to the WestMARC Seating and Wheelchair Service. Manage the configuration and modification of complex manual and powered wheelchairs through the allocation of work to technicians. Maintain effective communication and working relationships with clinical and technical staff to ensure efficient delivery and repair of wheelchairs, accessories, modifications, and cushions.

Provide technical expertise in the commissioning, fitting, and maintenance of equipment as requested by the clinical team. Deliver high standards of customer service to internal stakeholders and external customers, patients, and wheelchair users. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and identify maintenance issues as required.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:



Educated to a minimum of SCQF Level 8 / SVQ Level 4 / HND in a technical discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience in a relevant engineering environment. Relevant supervisory and technical experience.

Experience using Microsoft 365 (M365) applications. Knowledge of the ReTIS Wheelchair Database System.
