We are guided by our values of dignity, inclusion, and respect. If these values are aligned to yours, consider joining our team.
Role Overview
Launched in January of 2026, the Youth Literacy program is a vital new initiative at PALS designed to support young adults aged 18–25 as they enhance their literacy, job readiness, and overall well-being. At PALS, volunteers are at the heart of our mission—Changing Lives Through Literacy—and this role is central to bringing that mission to life for a new generation of learners
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Youth Literacy Coordinator manages day-to-day operations and program logistics to ensure every session runs smoothly. By leading group learning sessions and developing tailored lesson plans and resources, the coordinator creates a safe, inclusive environment where learners aged 18–25 can build confidence and skills. The role involves supporting participants through direct coaching, mentorship, and personalized assessments while collaborating with volunteers and community partners to build meaningful pathways to education and employment.
