Our client, MPCAN is seeking a Production Edge Polishing Labour to join their team. As a Production Edge Polishing Labour, you will be part of the Production team supporting countertop fabrication and finishing. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the willingness to learn and follow direction, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

Set up and operate the FastBack edge polishing machine safely and efficiently, following job requirements and established procedures. Load, position, and monitor countertop pieces to help ensure consistent, high-quality edges. Adjust machine settings and change polishing wheels, abrasives, and consumables when required. Inspect finished edges for quality, consistency, scratches, chips, and other defects. Stop the machine and report problems immediately when equipment is not operating correctly.

What's Needed?

Mechanically inclined and comfortable performing strenuous physical work in a variety of conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, wet/dry, muddy/dusty, noisy). Strong attention to detail with a focus on superior quality craftsmanship. High standards and personal accountability/integrity. Ability to stand for prolonged periods and manually lift stone pieces; able to lift 30–50 lbs. with frequent bending, twisting, and carrying. Ability to read a tape measure and follow job tickets, drawings, and production instructions; no experience required—on-the-job training is provided.
