For more information, please visit www.Boatrocker.Com.Role:Senior Production AccountantLocation:Toronto (Hybrid, in office 3 days a week)The Role:The Senior Production Accountant will work closely with the VP, Production Finance to oversee the production accounting and financial reporting for multiple projects across Boat Rocker’s production slate.Job Responsibilities:Production AccountingOversee all production accounting functions on assigned projectionsSet‑up payroll and accounting databases for newly greenlit showsForecast weekly cash‑flow needs and submit funding requestsProcess union and non‑union payroll, and accounts payableApproval of invoices and production paymentsPrepare accurate month‑end closing reporting packagesDrive accurate, complete, and timely cost reporting, tracking of show assets,
and qualified tax credit spendSet‑up and oversee show accountants during shooting, assist with issues and questionsEnsure timely filing of HST returnsFinancial ReportingPrepare analysis, summaries, and reconciliations to inform management and corporate finance on the status of productionsSupport the corporate team with detailed trial balance analysis and trial balance uploads into NetSuitePrepare support and backup documentation for corporate audits, production audits, and CRA audit requirements for productions being overseenPerform other tasks, analysis, and activities as reasonably required by Boat Rocker FinanceProcess ImprovementsIdentify and implement process improvements across production accounting and financial reporting workflowsIdentify opportunities to use AI to create efficienciesMonitor adherence to established production accounting processes and internal controlsMaintain an accurate and up‑to‑date production accounting manualQualifications:5+ years of experience in production accounting, with knowledge of Canadian tax credits, unions, and guildsExperience working on Canadian live‑action productionsUnderstanding of development, pre‑production, production, and post‑production stagesStrong analytical skills with attention to detailStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with production accounting systems and Entertainment Partners products, including Smart Accounting, Smart Start, and Movie MagicExperience with NetSuite and Workday Adaptive is considered an assetThe ability to provide services through an incorporated loan‑out company is considered an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle highly confidential information discreetlyAbility to work in a quick‑paced environment while prioritizing deadlinesSalary Range: $90,000-$125,000 per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
