Parkland County believes in the power of teamwork, approaching challenges with a solution-focused mindset, demonstrating a commitment to respect in all we do and a focus on safety for employees and all those we serve.Job ResponsibilitiesWorking within the Engineering Services department and reporting to the Manager, Engineering Projects, the Project Engineer II assists in project management and coordinates capital and special projects in transportation, bridges, water and wastewater utilities, and storm water. The position conducts technical research, produces technical reports, and offers design support. It requires expertise in project administration, contract preparation and management, and budget and asset management. The role may also support corporate asset inventory maintenance and various engineering program activities such as cost analysis, regulatory reviews, traffic count coordination, and road safety reviews.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environment, or another municipal services related field is required.A minimum of five (5) years of related experience, including project management of capital roads, bridges, water, wastewater, storm, and other related infrastructure projects with design drafting experience.Eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
