This role requires more than identifying problems; it requires the abilityto connect with people, gain buy-in, and drive real behaviour change.You won’t be successful in this role by standing on the outside. You’ll succeed in being present, respected, and working alongside crews to make safety practical, understood, and consistently followed.What You’ll DoBuild strong, day-to-day relationships with crews, supervisors, and sub-tradesBe present on the floor – observing, engaging and coaching in real timeProvide practical safety guidance to supervisors and employees when addressing hazards or changing work conditionsAddress unsafe acts and conditions directly while reinforcing expectations and gaining employee buy-inConduct inspections and independently follow identified concerns through to resolutionLead incident and near-miss investigations, identify contributing factors, and recommend meaningful corrective actionsDeliver safety meetings, orientations, and training that are practical, relevant, and engagingInterpret and apply occupational health and safety legislation, company policies and industry requirementsTrack and analyze safety data to identify recurring risks, emerging trends and opportunities for improvementSupport internal audits, program reviews,



policy development, and continuous improvement initiativesMonitor corrective actions to ensure they are completed effectively and within established expectationsProvide support and guidance to less-experienced safety team members when requiredWhat We Are Looking ForRelationship builder –earns trust and credibility with crews at all levelsConfident and approachable– able to step in when needed, without creating resistanceInfluential communicator– can gain buy-in and drive behaviour change, not just enforce rulesPresent and engaged– spends time on the floor, not just behind a deskObservant and proactive– identifies risks early and acts before issues escalateAction-oriented –follows issues through to resolutionDetail focused –understands how small gaps can lead to bigger incidentsRequirementsSuccessful interview candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment assessment3+ years of progressive health and safety experienceValid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportationAvailable to work Monday – Friday 6:30am – 5:00pmMinimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible,



willing to work overtime and the occasional SaturdayValid Advanced First AidWorking knowledge of Alberta occupational health and safety legislation, WHMIS, WCB requirements, and related standardsExperience independently conducting workplace inspections and incident investigationsDemonstrated ability to recommend, document, and follow up on corrective actionsExperience writing qualified reports, procedures, or health and safety policiesProficiency with Microsoft OfficePhysically capable of working in an active manufacturing and construction environmentStrong English communication skills (verbal and written)Outstanding critical thinking skillsAble to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detailAssetsNCSO designation or meaningful progress toward completionExperience in precast concrete, construction, manufacturing, or industrial operationsExperience supporting safety audits or formal safety management systemsExperience analyzing incident and inspection data to identify trendsWHMIS Train-the-Trainer certificationExperience using SiteDocs or comparable safety management softwareWhat Eagle Builders OffersCompetitive wages based on experience, with regular evaluations6% vacation pay, health coverage, and wellness supportSundays off and a culture that values time with familyClothing program, meal program, fuel discounts, and employee eventsClear training roadmaps and opportunities for growthThis role isn’t about standing on the sidelines – it’s about earning respect on the floor and using to drive real change.Thank you for your interest in Eagle Builders.
