Lead the modernization of data platforms at Project X Ltd. in Toronto. This senior role involves hands-on engineering using Snowflake, AWS, and dbt Core in a hybrid work setting.

We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer with extensive experience in data engineering and hands-on expertise with Snowflake and AWS. In this role, you will develop reusable architecture, establish engineering standards, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve reliability. Your technical leadership will drive the team towards efficient and effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:



• Design core data platform capabilities across Snowflake and AWS • Establish dbt Core standards for data modeling and testing • Build and maintain GitHub CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments • Develop Terraform code for infrastructure management • Strengthen RBAC, IAM, and secure data access patterns

Requirements: • 8+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in data engineering • Strong hands-on knowledge of Snowflake and SQL • Proficient in Git/GitHub and CI/CD processes • Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code • Strong communication and leadership skills
