To continue supporting Canadian businesses, BDC is looking to add a lawyer to its Legal Affairs team.

Reporting to the Legal Director, Specialized Financing, you will join a team of transactional lawyers and advise various business lines on a broad range of complex financing transactions, including syndicated financings, securitizations, structured financings, subordinated debt and indirect financing. You will be involved in structuring and executing transactions,



negotiating agreements and other required legal documentation, and providing practical legal advice tailored to business needs.

You will also support certain strategic financing initiatives, coordinate the work of external counsel as needed, and advise internal teams on various legal matters related to the Bank’s financing activities. Finally, you will contribute to knowledge sharing and the continuous improvement of practices and processes within the team.

We are looking for someone with relevant financial services experience who enjoys navigating complex transactions and finding solutions that are pragmatic, thoughtful and aligned with business needs. If you are bilingual, a member of the Quebec Bar or another Canadian provincial bar, have solid negotiation skills and enjoy working collaboratively, you may be the person we are looking for!
