Senior Specialist in Mechanical Design (A220 Commercial Aircraft Programme)

Dans ce contexte, nous recherchons le leader idéal pour embarquer dans ce projet stimulant. Le programme d'avions commerciaux A220 recherche d’un Spécialiste Senior en Conception Mécanique pour rejoindre notre département d’Essais en Vol basée à Mirabel (Québec, Canada), où vous ferez partie de l’équipe Moyens d’Essai qui s'occupe des moyens de test et des installations expérimentales sur les prototypes A220 et les bancs d’essai. L'organisation de l'équipe est établie de manière à promouvoir la collaboration transversale de manière autonome, en se soutenant mutuellement et en apprenant collectivement. Votre rôle en tant que Spécialiste Senior en Conception Mécanique sera de gérer et mener une équipe de concepteurs en structure et de concepteurs en mécanique pour l’installation de différents équipements expérimentaux à bord d’avions d’essai. Your challenges:

- Work closely with flight test crews as well as other engineering disciplines to gather design requirements leading to the definition of experimental equipment on board test aircraft
- Lead and manage a team of structural and mechanical designers in the development of sketches, drawings, or other technical documents
- Organize and support preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews with stakeholders
- Involve flight test crews throughout the design process to ensure the final product meets their needs
- Train current employees in your area of expertise
- Coordinate and support suppliers providing parts and systems leading to their final assembly and installation on the test aircraft

Your profile:





- You hold a degree in mechanical engineering
- You have over 15 years of relevant experience
- You possess leadership qualities and also have management experience
- You have experience with experimental aircraft equipment (A220 experience is an asset)
- You have extensive expertise in structural and mechanical design
- Knowledge of CATIA is mandatory
- You are proactive and have an interest in the aerospace industry and systems integration
- You are resourceful and capable of finding creative ways to achieve the desired result, adapting to rapidly changing situations and emerging obstacles
- Ability to work under strict deadlines within an integrated and multidisciplinary team
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with subject matter experts regarding a range of technical and operational topics
- Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.

Travel Required: Occasional travel within Canada & overseas. Travel refers to occasional travel within Canada and overseas. This role may involve some travels for business worldwide.
