About the Role

Our client seeks a highly experienced Senior Information Security Auditor to lead audit engagements and drive security assurance within their organization in East London . This role involves assessing the effectiveness of security controls, ensuring compliance with regulations, and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will be responsible for planning and executing complex audits, mentoring junior auditors, and communicating findings to senior management. Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the planning and execution of comprehensive information security audits .

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., POPIA, ISO 27001).
- Identify and articulate significant security risks and control weaknesses to stakeholders.




- Develop detailed and actionable audit reports and recommendations for senior management.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the audit team.

Requirements

- Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in information security auditing , IT risk management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of audit methodologies , frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST), and risk assessment techniques.
- Proven experience in managing audit projects and teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CRISC are mandatory.
