This position focuses on coordinating wilderness trips such as hiking and canoeing while integrating therapeutic principles into the outdoor experiences.
Your role ensures that safety, risk management, and industry best practices are at the forefront of each journey. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee multi-day wilderness trips for clients
Collaborate with therapists to align trips with recovery goals
Ensure compliance with safety and risk management standards
Organize and maintain outdoor equipment inventory
Mentor and evaluate wilderness staff for trip readiness Requirements:
Experience in outdoor education or wilderness leadership
80-hour Wilderness First Responder certification
Robust judgment and risk-management abilities
Effective communication within a multidisciplinary team
