We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. This vital role supports veterinarians in providing high-quality care to animals and their owners. Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing, including blood, urine, and tissue samples
Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other laboratory procedures
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
Monitor patient vital signs and provide supportive care during recovery
Maintain detailed medical records of all treatments,
procedures, and observations
Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health measures
Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and treatment areas
Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals
Experience
Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific tasks
Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary or animal care setting is advantageous
Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and common veterinary practices
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a busy setting
Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and their well-being
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
