Duties
Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality standards are met
Support the cooking process by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under supervision
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
Help with food handling procedures in accordance with food safety regulations to ensure hygiene and quality
Support serving staff by preparing plates or trays for delivery or dine-in service
Assist with stock rotation, inventory management, and restocking supplies as needed
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold a secure working setting for all team members
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
Solid communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and support guest needs
Basic knowledge of food handling safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or cash handling is a plus but not mandatory
Hospitality or hotel experience can be advantageous for understanding guest service expectations
A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to take on various kitchen tasks are key qualities for success in this role
