Position Description: RN - Lactation Consultant The Lactation Consultant – RN provides specialized assistance to the breastfeeding mothers and infants, provides lactation education to the staff and customers, and serves as a role model for the staff in working with breastfeeding families.

The Lactation

Consultant utilizes the nursing process and clinical standards, delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team, is responsible for skilled accountability and development, and serves as a resource for the staff.

Requirements
Registered Nurse license
BLS
NRP
CLC or IBCLC
3 years experience in a Clinical Specialty
Associates Degree in Nursing
Mother/Baby RN experience is strongly preferred

Location: St Josephs Womens

Status: Part Time, Exempt: Yes

Shift Hours: 6:45AM - 7:15PM

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
