We are seeking a passionate and dedicated cook to join our vibrant food service team in a Seniors retirement community workplace. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, consistency, and creativity
Follow established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards to ensure quality
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all food handling and preparation activities
Assist in organizing kitchen stations, ensuring all equipment is clean, sanitized, and properly stored
Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service during busy hours
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth kitchen operations




Support meal preparation for special events or catering requests as needed

Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within restaurants or the food industry
Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and proper sanitation practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong understanding of serving standards and customer service principles
Kitchen experience with familiarity in various cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions accurately
Prior food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
