Become a pivotal Project Engineer at THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF DURHAM, focusing on the design and management of water supply and sanitary sewer systems. This full time role offers an engaging technical challenge. You will report directly to the Engineering Support Division's Manager, overseeing essential engineering projects that enhance public infrastructure.
Your role includes developing project scopes, managing a diverse team, and being a key technical resource for complex operational matters in water and wastewater management. Key Responsibilities:
Administer engineering projects related to water supply systems
Create requests for proposals, evaluate submissions, and assign projects
Prepare Capital Works budget forecasts for water services
Provide expert advice on wastewater facilities and operations
Supervise junior staff and coordinate their project assignments Requirements:
Must hold a Qualified Engineer license in Ontario
Degree in Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
Significant experience in municipal engineering
Solid understanding of MECP design guidelines
