MatchBox Consulting Group is searching for a Senior Engineer with expertise in Model Validation for Alberta's electricity sector. This hybrid role requires leading technical reviews and model validation processes. In this full time, permanent position, you'll be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of power-system models while mentoring a team of engineers.

Your role will involve developing training, guidelines, and risk assessment protocols to ensure high standards are met in interconnection studies. Key Responsibilities:
Lead independent validations of power-system project models
Review models for accuracy, consistency, and methodology
Establish structured frameworks for model validation
Coach engineers and deliver technical training
Communicate technical implications to both technical and non-technical staff Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
APEGA registration or eligible for Qualified Engineer
10+ years in the electric utility industry
Proficient in PSS®E modeling
