ColdStar Solutions Inc., 1015 Henry Eng Terminal, is recruiting a permanent, full time Class 1 Daytime Driver

This position is Tuesday to Saturday day 6:00 AM start.

Applicants must be located on Vancouver Island, in the Greater Victoria Area. This is not a commutable role from the mainland

Responsibilities:

This is a general freight, pick up and delivery position, in the lower Vancouver Island area. You must work well independently, take direction well, be comfortable asking clarifying questions, and have customer service as your first priority.

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience driving a 53-foot trailer operating a manual transmission is required
Class 1 driver’s license and clean drivers abstract is required
No restrictions on license and comfortable with both automatic and manual transmission
Knowledge of reefer settings and food temperature hauling requirements is an asset
Experience using an electric pallet jack & electric tailgate, an asset
Physically able to lift 50lbs required




Good knowledge of Vancouver Island is an asset
Flexibility for scheduling is key
