Embark on a fulfilling career as a Community Support Worker with Island Crisis Care Society in a night shift schedule. You will provide essential life skills training and emotional support to vulnerable adults. This role focuses on creating a therapeutic setting while assisting clients with personal care, daily activities, and overall independence.
You will work Tuesday to Saturday from 11 PM to 7 AM, contributing to the mission of providing shelter and care without judgment. Join a team that emphasizes compassion, integrity, and community connection. Key Responsibilities:
Participate in assessments and goal setting for clients
Assist with life skills training and personal care
Facilitate client-focused activities per care plans
Provide emotional support to residents and families
Prepare meals and handle dietary needs when required Requirements:
Diploma in a related human/social service field
One year of recent related experience
Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
Successful Criminal Record Review for Vulnerable people
Knowledge of substance use disorders and mental health challenges Make a meaningful impact by supporting vulnerable individuals in your community through effective care and guidance.
