Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer/Drafter to join our design team. This role involves creating precise technical drawings and schematics for various construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in drafting, CAD software, and construction processes, with the ability to translate concepts into detailed, accurate designs.

/ Duties
Read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and fabrication drawings.
Create 2D fabrication drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Develop weldments, mechanical assemblies, exploded views, and shop drawings.
Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), cut lists, and fabrication packages.
Update existing designs and engineering drawings.
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure accurate and practical designs.
Identify drawing conflicts and constructability issues before fabrication.
Support prototype assembly, testing, and commissioning as required.
Perform calculations as required.




Perform other drafting and design support duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field.
Proficiency in SolidWorks (Parts, Assemblies, Weldments, and Drawings) and AutoCAD 2D is required.
Experience with structural steel, weldments, and mechanical assemblies.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and fabrication drawings.
Knowledge of steel fabrication and manufacturing processes.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Self-motivated and willing to learn.
