Brudco is currently looking for HDD Locators / Steer Hands and Drillers to join our team for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General:
Safely operate and maintain equipment.
Track and submit daily drilling progress and applicable safety paperwork.
Perform maintenance and inspections of equipment.
Maintain driver logs and conduct trip inspections.

Responsibilities:
Operate drills ranging from 10,000 lbs. to 24,000 lbs.
Utilize applicable HDD guidance systems.
Set up bore shots (move trailers, pull off conduit, walkdown, laydown boards for drilling, etc.).
Submit progress reports

Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in operating and understanding HDD guidance systems.
Proficient in operating and understanding a Horizontal Directional Drill.
Ability to deliver clear and concise radio commands.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and utility locates.
Ability to tow trailers, load and unload, backup trailers, and drive large equipment in congested areas.




Ability to work in a physically demanding setting.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and adjust to changing work schedules and scope of work requirements.

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience.
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and accompanying driver’s abstract.
CSTS 2020 certification.
Ground Disturbance Level 2 (ABCGA or USP accredited).
Standard First Aid (preferred).
5-year driver abstract with no major convictions (e.g., DUI or distracted driving convictions).

Pay is based on experience.

Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour
