We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join a halal grocery and meat store in Langley.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a butcher shop or meat department. Experience with halal meat preparation and customer service is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include:
Cutting, preparing, packaging, and displaying meat products
Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in the meat department
Marinating and preparing meats
Assisting customers with meat selections and special requests
Receiving and checking deliveries
Monitoring product freshness and expiry dates
Maintaining a clean and organized store
Operating the cash register when required
Providing friendly and qualified customer service
Assisting with general day-to-day store operations
Qualifications:
Previous butcher,
meat cutting, grocery, or food retail experience needed
Experience working with halal meat is an asset
Knowledge of protected food handling and sanitation practices
Strong customer service and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Comfortable lifting boxes and standing for extended periods
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
