About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and provide strategic accounting leadership. This is a full-time, in office position ideal for a finance qualified with a strong background in construction accounting.

Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
Manage job costing and Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Collaborate with project managers on job profitability analysis
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Assist with audits, tax preparation, and year-end close processes

Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Controller or senior accounting role
Required:



previous experience in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, and construction accounting practices
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus)
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Procore, or similar construction accounting platforms)
Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
