Bar Poet is looking for a Line Cook to join our Kitchen Team, Located in downtown Toronto, Queen Street West

Our Line Cooks deliver the best possible food experience to all guests. Position responsibilities include preparation of food, working service and general closing of the kitchen. Applicants must be hardworking, respectful, have a good attitude and a good understanding of food and hospitality. Having related culinary experience in the kitchen or a classroom setting is required. Ability to work nights is significant. Must have legal permission to work in Canada.

Job Duties:
Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Must be able to work late and holidays




Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Requirements
Experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred
Knowledge of food safety principles
Ability to work late shifts, evenings and weekends
Solid communication skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Willingness to assist in all areas of the kitchen as needed

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
