Job Summary

Join our family run healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients in the homecare setting. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through respiratory therapies, patient education, and collaborative care. This paid position offers a flexible schedule with paid mileage and potential for on call hours.

Duties
Assess patients’ respiratory needs through detailed evaluations and medical history reviews
Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy
Monitor patient responses to therapies and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, medication use, and breathing techniques
Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient progress, and clinical notes in compliance with company protocols

Requirements




Valid license or certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or equivalent credential
Proven experience working in Respiratory Therapy with a focus on Chronic/ Palliative care environments
Experience providing respiratory care for home oxygen and CPAP patients is highly desirable
Familiarity with HOP (Home Oxygen Program) criteria an asset
Knowledge of CPAP therapy and ADP ( Assistive Devices Program) funding an asset
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams

Pay: $28.15-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.0 – 21.0 per week
