Home Care Support Worker

Position Summary

Serenity Care Services Inc is seeking reliable and compassionate Home Care Support Workers to provide personalized, in-home care to clients. In this role, you will support individuals with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. Our clients include seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or injury.

Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support
Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning (including use of proper lifting techniques)
Administer medications as directed and observe/report any health changes
Prepare meals based on client dietary needs and assist with feeding when required
Maintain a clean and safe home environment (light housekeeping and laundry)
Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful daily activities
Accurately document care provided and communicate updates with families and care teams




Support clients with dementia or cognitive challenges using appropriate care approaches
Provide comfort-focused care for clients with complex or end-of-life needs

Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or similar settings is preferred
Experience supporting seniors or individuals with disabilities is an asset
Knowledge of medication assistance and basic caregiving practices is beneficial
Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting and transfers
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
