Job Summary

D&E; Service Centre is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate possesses solid mechanical knowledge supported by relevant hands-on experience in automotive repair.This role requires the ability to work well within a team setting, including being receptive to educational opportunities and knowledge sharing from our senior mechanic.Qualifications
Red Seal certification is preferred.
Apprentices enrolled with the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency will be considered.
Valid driver’s license is required.

Expectations and Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair automotive components.
Provide routine and preventative maintenance.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitudeand troubleshooting skills.
Adhere to exact instructions with a strong attention to detail.
Follow secure work practices and maintain a clean work area.
Use tools safely, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Perform welding skills required for certain repair tasks.
Solve problems with excellent attention to detail.
Work independently as well as part of a team.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
