Position: Registered Nurse

Schedule: Temporary Full-Time and Casual

Responsibilities:
Provide quality resident care by assessing and assisting residents with their activities of daily living
Plan, implement and evaluate quality resident care, constantly striving to improve
Promote and support opportunities for professional development of self and other staff
Maintain a clean, comfortable and protected workplace for residents and fellow staff members
Administer medications and treatments to residents
Act as a resource, leader and supervisor to other nursing staff
Perform probationary and annual performance appraisals,



providing staff with appropriate feedback and coaching
Ensure resident documentation and reports are maintained
Pharmacy duties such as maintaining inventory records, ensuring the narcotics count is completed at shift change, and place pharmacy orders
Assume responsibility for the facility in the absence of Senior Management
Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information

Qualifications
Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses
Standard First Aid, CPR and Phlebotomy required
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English
Strong leadership skills
Bachelor of Nursing is an asset
Experience in a geriatric setting is an asset

Pay: $40.55 per hour
