Job Brief

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, kitchen organization, cleaning, and day-to-day operations while working closely with the chefs and kitchen staff.

The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, able to work in a rapid-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities
Set up and stock kitchen stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients
Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and portioning vegetables and other ingredients
Assist with basic meat and food preparation as directed by the kitchen manager or chef
Prepare sauces, soups, and other ingredients according to kitchen instructions
Sort and prepare beans, grains, vegetables, and other products
Assist with soup preparation, portioning, and packaging
Assist cooks and chefs during food service as required
Ensure food is prepared efficiently and according to the restaurant’s quality standards
Keep work areas, utensils, equipment, refrigerators, and preparation stations clean and sanitized




Follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
Complete opening and closing duties as instructed
Receive, organize, and properly store food and kitchen supplies when required
Maintain an organized and clean kitchen throughout the shift
Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning when necessary
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Chef

Requirements
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced kitchen environment
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
Ability to follow instructions and food-safety procedures
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is an asset but not required
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Types: Full time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Experience:
Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
