Join Monarch House as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and make a difference in children's lives in Surrey. Support developmental interventions for those with autism or motor delays in a community-based workplace.
As a part time Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work directly under the guidance of a Registered Occupational Therapist to implement intervention plans for clients with diverse needs. Successful candidates will have a post-secondary education in Occupational Therapy and ideally community-based experience.
Your role will foster an engaging and supportive atmosphere while interacting with clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate session progress to families and supervisors
Implement treatment plans using best practices
Prepare teaching materials for therapy sessions
Create a positive and engaging workplace
Track client progress through data collection
Requirements:
Post-secondary coursework in Occupational Therapy
Valid authorization to work in Canada
Minimum 1 year of experience as an OTA
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Community-based experience is preferred
Support the development of children at Monarch House as you implement meaningful interventions.
