Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: Experience an asset Pharmacy (PharmD, BS, BSc, BPharm) or equivalent experience Work site environment Clean Work setting Willing to relocate Community or retail pharmacy Health care institution, facility or clinic Tasks Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication Check prescriptions for proper dosage Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff Control the quality of drug products during production to ensure that they meet standards of potency, purity, uniformity, stability and safety Supervision 3-4 people Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities Security and safety Immunization records Criminal record check Eligible for professional liability insurance Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Manual dexterity Combination of sitting, standing,
