Senior Procurement Advisor – Infrastructure Projects Location: Burnaby, BC Duration: 12-Month Contract Work Arrangement: Hybrid Match

Box Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Procurement Advisor to support major infrastructure procurement initiatives with one of British Columbia’s largest utility providers.

This role is well suited to an experienced procurement and supply chain professional who has worked within Canadian government, public sector, utility, or major infrastructure environments and understands procurement frameworks incorporating free trade agreement requirements .

You’ll lead complex sourcing activities, develop contracting strategies, manage competitive procurement processes, and negotiate with sophisticated suppliers on large infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement infrastructure procurement, sourcing, and contracting strategies .

Prepare and present supply chain strategies, contracting plans, briefs, and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.

Draft and manage complex RFP, RFT, and RFSQ processes.

Develop vendor evaluation criteria, weightings, and performance indicators and lead cross-functional evaluation teams.

Lead complex commercial negotiations with multinational and global suppliers.

Manage supplier relationships and resolve contractual and commercial issues while maintaining productive relationships.

Assess supply chain and project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify market conditions, vendor capabilities, and supply risks.

Provide procurement and contracting advice to project teams, senior management, and other Supply Chain professionals.

Manage multiple complex procurement initiatives with competing deadlines and deliverables.





Qualifications & Experience Minimum 10 years of sourcing, procurement, category management, or equivalent experience , preferably within a large and complex organization.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting , or a related field.

Experience procuring for Canadian government organizations, utilities, or similar public-sector environments where free trade agreements are incorporated into procurement policies and practices.

Demonstrated experience developing alternative infrastructure project delivery methodologies and contracting strategies .

Strong experience preparing complex RFP/RFT/RFSQ documentation.

Proven ability to lead complex negotiations and manage supplier and contractual issues.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple large or complex projects.

Preferred Experience Strong understanding of infrastructure procurement approaches beyond traditional Design-Bid-Build , including Early Contractor Involvement, Design-Build, Construction Management at Risk, and PPP models .

Experience with infrastructure capital project sourcing.

Knowledge and experience in Program and Contract Management .

Additional education or certification in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Change Management, Facilitation, or Communications.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
