OPERATIONS MANAGER Location: Saint-Laurent, Québec Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Operations THE OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse, inventory, logistics, and customer service operations at our Saint-Laurent facility.

Reporting to the appropriate member of the leadership team, the Operations Manager will oversee operational performance, inventory accuracy, warehouse safety, transportation coordination, and personnel management.

This position will play a key role in ensuring customers receive accurate orders on time while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on operational leader with experience managing warehouse and distribution activities, supervising employees, working with transportation providers, and operating within a unionized environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operations & Inventory Management Oversee daily warehouse and operational activities to ensure efficient workflow and service levels.

Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure inventory accuracy through the company's ERP and inventory management systems.

Monitor inventory movements, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as required.

Ensure materials are properly received, stored, picked, packed, and prepared for shipment.

Review orders and manifests to verify product, quantity, and shipment accuracy.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer pricing information within the ERP system.

Monitor key operational and customer service metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

Plan and coordinate daily work assignments based on operational requirements.

Logistics & Customer Service Oversee the scheduling and coordination of customer deliveries using established routes and company vehicles.

Coordinate with common carriers and transportation providers to support timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Negotiate freight rates and manage transportation-related costs.

Support customer service activities and assist in resolving operational or delivery-related issues.

Oversee customer order entry, billing, and Accounts Receivable processes as applicable.

Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Leadership & People Management Lead, coach,



and develop supervisory and warehouse personnel.

Establish explicit expectations and support a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Coordinate training and onboarding for operational employees as required.

Support performance management and other day-to-day people-management activities in accordance with company policies and applicable employment legislation.

Serve as a primary management contact for the union and collective bargaining agreement (CBA), working collaboratively to address workplace matters and ensure compliance with applicable agreements.

Support positive employee relations and effective communication across the operation.

Health, Safety & Compliance Lead and maintain the warehouse health and safety program.

Ensure employees receive appropriate safety training and that required training is completed and documented.

Conduct or support workplace inspections, audits, and corrective actions.

Promote safe work practices and ensure employees follow applicable company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.

Work in accordance with applicable Quebec occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.

Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, transportation, customer service, and operating costs.

Develop and implement practical process improvements.

Monitor operational results and use data and KPIs to support decision-making.

Participate in projects and other operational initiatives as required. QUALIFICATIONSEducation Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience Minimum 4 years of progressive operations management experience , preferably within a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or industrial setting.





Experience managing warehouse or distribution personnel.

Experience working in a unionized environment and with a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) .

Experience with inventory management systems and ERP platforms.

Experience coordinating transportation and freight providers is an asset.

Experience overseeing workplace health and safety programs is an asset. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Strong understanding of warehouse, inventory, distribution, and transportation operations.

Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.

Ability to prioritize competing operational demands and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency with ERP and inventory management systems.

Ability to analyze operational data and KPIs and translate findings into practical improvements.

Strong customer-service orientation and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of applicable Quebec workplace health and safety requirements.

Ability to work effectively within a unionized environment. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is a hands-on operations leadership position that requires regular presence in the warehouse and distribution environment.

The role may involve periods of standing and walking, as well as occasional sitting, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling or lifting materials.

The position may require the occasional handling of materials weighing approximately 25–50 lbs , with appropriate equipment and safe-work practices used where required.
