Job Description BI PLATFORM OPERATIONS ENGINEER — TABLEAU, AMAZON QUICKSIGHT & AWS LOCATION: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (2-3 Days WFO) EXPERIENCE: 10+ years REQUIRED SKILLS • Strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise BI platforms in production environments. • Strong experience with Tableau Server administration and operational support. • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Quick
Sight administration, authoring, and production support. • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Quick
Sight Analyses, Dashboards, Datasets, Data Sources, Themes, Folders, Templates, permissions, and related assets. • Experience troubleshooting SPICE ingestion, dataset refreshes, direct queries, data-source connectivity, dashboard publishing, sharing, and access issues. • Experience with Amazon Quick
Sight APIs / AWS SDKs, including programmatic management of Quick
Sight assets and permissions. • Working knowledge of Amazon Athena and troubleshooting Athena-based BI workloads. • Working knowledge of the AWS Glue Data Catalog, including databases, tables, schemas, partitions, and metadata. • Understanding of AWS Lake Formation, particularly permissions and data-access management. • Experience with AWS Lambda and troubleshooting serverless application components. • Experience with Amazon API Gateway, particularly Lambda integrations and REST APIs. • Strong understanding of RESTful API concepts and experience troubleshooting API integrations. • Hands-on experience with Amazon Cloud
Watch, including logs, metrics, dashboards, and alarms. • Strong understanding of AWS IAM, roles, policies, permissions, and service-to-service access. • Experience troubleshooting BI platform infrastructure, data connectivity, authentication, authorization, permissions, and performance issues.
• Ability to analyze application, server, API, Lambda, and AWS service logs to troubleshoot issues across multiple technology layers. • Experience with production incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis. • Experience with scripting or automation using technologies such as Python, Power
Shell, Bash, AWS CLI, or similar tools. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills. NICE TO HAVE • Experience or familiarity with Amazon Q in Quick
Sight / Quick Suite, including conversational and generative BI capabilities. • Experience with Amazon Q Topics and semantic configuration for natural-language analytics. • Familiarity with Quick Suite agents, chat/agent experiences, and Spaces. • Understanding of contemporary web applications and experience with Angular, Java
Script, or Type
Script. • Experience operating a BI Platform-as-a-Service or BI-as-a-Service environment. • Experience supporting custom applications built around Amazon Quick
Sight APIs. • Experience with embedded Quick
Sight and programmatic dashboard or asset management. • Experience troubleshooting end-to-end data flows involving Quick
Sight, Athena, Glue Data Catalog, Lake Formation, S3, and IAM. • Experience supporting serverless architectures involving API Gateway and Lambda. • Experience with Tableau Server infrastructure upgrades, backup/restore, monitoring, and performance tuning. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and application deployment processes. • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and cloud deployment practices. • Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change-management practices. • Experience supporting enterprise environments with strong security, governance, and access-control requirements.
