- Compare and
evaluate offers from
suppliers

purchasing strategies

- Sourcing
materials, goods, products, and services and
negotiating the best or most cost-effective
contracts and deals
- Negotiate
contract terms of agreement and
pricing

Assess supplier
profiles and analyze offers

- Performing
inventory inspections and reordering supplies and
stock as necessary
- Track orders and
ensure timely delivery

Manage relationships
with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery
and compliance with terms of contracts
- Inspecting stock
and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies
immediately
- Coordinate with
warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

Report KPI (Key
Performance Indicator) data as requested by Purchasing Director
to assess, analyze and track vendor performance

- Ensuring all stock
is packaged appropriately and delivered to the
correct location in a timely
manner

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree
in business, logistics, or a related field may be
required
- Proven work
experience as a Purchasing Officer,

Purchasing
Agent

or similar
role

Applicable knowledge
of negotiating prices and terms and conditions

- Proficiency in the
relevant management software programs

- Good knowledge of
vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and
liaising with vendors)

Hands-on experience
with purchasing software (e.g. SpendMap)
- Superb written and
verbal communication and negotiation
skills
- Solid analytical
skills, with the ability to create financial reports and
conduct cost analyses
- Great
organizational and planning
