Database Modeller / Information Management Modeller About the role This resource owns data modelling and Oracle database design for two in-house engineering products, working alongside a Full-Stack Developer and a Data Migration Developer, and is supported by DND's own database administrators.

What you'll do Design, develop, enhance, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Oracle database environments, ensuring consistency, integrity, and alignment with business and system requirements.

Design, enhance, and maintain Oracle database structures, including complex SQL queries and PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.

Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing improvements, bottleneck analysis, and monitoring/diagnostic tooling.





Work collaboratively with the Data Migration Developer to define and validate source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and data quality expectations for ETL activities.

Produce and maintain documentation for data models, database design, and development processes.

Must-have Proven experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ideally for Oracle environments.

Solid Oracle SQL / PL-SQL development skills (stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers).

Experience with database performance tuning and diagnostic tooling.

Fluent English, spoken and written, with minimal errors.

Must be a Canadian citizen
