**We are hiring General Production Worker's in Markham, Ontario!**
**Job Description**
The General Production Worker (Test) operates functional test equipment to verify the performance of electronic devices on a day shift schedule.

In this role, you place devices into testing units, run automated tests, monitor LED indicators for proper function, and follow documented standard operating procedures to ensure accurate testing and packaging of units.
**Responsibilities**
Operate functional test machines by placing devices into the unit, starting the test cycle, and monitoring performance.

Observe LED indicators and other visual signals during testing to confirm that devices meet functional requirements.

Remove tested units from the machine and place them into boxes or designated containers for further processing or shipment.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) carefully and document test results and process steps as required.

Interpret and work from basic blueprints or work instructions when needed to perform testing and handling tasks.

Handle electronic devices and components with care, using proper electrostatic discharge protection when required.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to report issues, clarify instructions, and support smooth production flow.

Monitor equipment during operation and report any irregularities, malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly.

Support general production activities as needed to meet daily output and quality targets.
**Essential Skills**
At least 1 year of machine operator experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Ability to operate testing equipment and follow functional testing procedures accurately.

Basic electronics knowledge to understand device behavior and LED indicators.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow instructions fluently.

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with machinery and moving equipment safely.

Good vision and attention to detail for monitoring LEDs, reading instructions, and inspecting units.

Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures and basic blueprints or work instructions.

Commitment to following safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and electrostatic discharge protection.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Direct machine operator setup experience, including configuring and adjusting equipment for production runs.
experience in electronics and electrical work.

Comfort working around operating machines, moving equipment, and occasional high noise levels.

Ability to work effectively in a clean manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to dust, metals, and solder.

Willingness to participate in contract-based work with potential for extension.

**Job Type & Location**

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
