**Job Title: Order Picker**
**Job Description**
The Order Picker supports warehouse operations by completing standard operating procedure and health and safety training, handling returned products and waste materials, and accurately picking customer orders using digital tools.

This role involves repetitive lifting, use of RF scanners and carts, and working in a fast-paced distribution environment to ensure efficient and safe movement of goods.
**Responsibilities**
Complete SOP and health and safety training during the initial onboarding period.

Work in the carts and totes area to clear bins from incoming trucks.

Inspect bins for returned products and garbage, ensuring proper separation and handling.

Dispose of waste materials by loading and operating compactors in a safe and efficient manner.

Perform repetitive lifting of items up to 15 lbs as part of daily tasks.

Transition to order picking duties using iPads and RF scanners once initial training is complete.

Accurately pick and scan products according to order requirements and warehouse procedures.

Handle items up to 50 lbs when required, following safe lifting practices.

Operate walkie equipment to move products, carts, and totes within the facility as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols.

Work effectively in a fast-paced, large distribution facility to meet productivity and quality targets.

Follow shift schedules, including night shifts, and adhere to break and lunch policies.
**Essential Skills**
Experience with order picking in a warehouse or distribution workplace.

Demonstrated general labor and warehouse experience.

Ability to use RF scanners for inventory and order processing.

Capability to lift and handle items up to 50 lbs safely.

Basic English communication skills to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

Comfort with using iPads or similar digital devices for order picking.

Experience operating walkie equipment in a warehouse setting.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Prior experience working in healthcare-related distribution or warehouse environments.

Familiarity with carts, totes, and bin handling processes.

Robust attention to detail when checking returned products and separating garbage.

Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.

Reliability in attending scheduled night or other assigned shifts.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a brand-new, large distribution facility that is clean, well lit, and equipped with a spacious lunchroom.

The environment is fast paced and highly safety focused, with clear procedures and a strong emphasis on safe work practices.

The workforce is diverse and collaborative.

Steel-toed shoes are required, and safety vests are provided and must be worn while on the floor.

Night shift hours run from Sunday to Thursday, 10:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Team members receive one 30-minute unpaid lunch and one paid 15-minute break per shift, with the schedule reflecting a decision to leave 15 minutes earlier rather than take a second paid break.

Work regularly involves use of RF scanners, iPads, walkie equipment, carts, totes, and compactors in a busy warehouse setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vaughan, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.60/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
