You Are:

Organized. You will balance requests from our VLC operations team to ensure facility maintenance, repair, and special projects are completed in a timely manner.

Detailed. You have a keen attention to detail and ensure your team delivers quality work.

Proactive. You identify opportunities for improvement, and take initiative to enhance the appearance, cleanliness, and productivity of our VLC facilities.

Cooperative. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and leaders in other VLC departments to respond to requests.

Handy. Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to pitch in, you are experienced in a variety of maintenance tasks including minor equipment repairs.

Safety-conscious. You pay attention to your surroundings and work safely and carefully.

You Will:

Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of OPENLANE policies, processes, and procedures and the tools used by our facilities and VLC team.

Inspect equipment for signs of wear, tear, neglect,



damage, previous repair, or required maintenance.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all VLC equipment and facilities

Coordinate internal maintenance teams and subcontractors for maintenance and repair work

Identify needs for major and minor maintenance projects, developing proposals, sourcing quotes, and planning workflow to minimize operational impact.

Manage the bidding and contractor selection process, ensuring company standards and work quality are met.

Monitor equipment, spare parts, and supply inventories, optimizing stock levels and placing necessary orders

Coordinate urgent service requests and breakdowns to minimize operational downtime

Work closely with the operations manager to plan and execute infrastructure improvement projects

Coordinate snow removal and de-icing of lots, driveways, and evacuation paths, including contractor management, this may include actively supporting snow removal efforts

Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations

Must Haves:

3+ years experience in a facilities maintenance/management role

Valid Drivers’ license is required

Basic computer and smartphone skills
