Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced Medical Office Assistant to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. This role supports day-to-day office operations and administrative activities, helping ensure an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks while providing friendly and reliable support to staff, clients, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

- Welcome and assist patients professionally while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient intake, update records, and support appointment scheduling and administrative tasks.
- Prepare and reset examination and ultrasound rooms, including cleaning, stocking, and routine room turnover.
- Clean and sanitize clinical equipment according to established procedures and training guidelines.
- Monitor and replenish medical and office supplies as needed.
- Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals and help maintain efficient daily clinic operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements:





- At least 1 year of experience in reception, customer service, medical administration, or a healthcare setting.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to remain organized, accurate, and calm in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
- Comfortable assisting with room preparation, equipment cleaning, and general clinic support.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, patient records, or electronic medical record (EHR) systems is preferred.
- Experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, diagnostic imaging, or related healthcare setting is an asset.
