Position Summary

The QA Specialist ensures our products meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements from incoming raw materials to finished goods release. You will support our standard operation process (SOP), review batch documentation, and help keep us audit-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with GMP and applicable FDA, Health Canada NHP, and other regulatory requirements
- Review and approve batch production records, packaging records, and lab test results
- Perform and document in-process inspections, line clearances, and sampling
- Approve or reject raw materials, packaging components, and finished products
- Investigate and document deviations, non-conformances, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and customer complaints
- Initiate and follow up on CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
- Manage change controls, SOPs,



and controlled documents
- Verify supplier qualification, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and ingredient identity testing
- Support internal audits, third-party audits (e.g., NSF, USP, GMP certification bodies), and regulatory inspections
- Assist with product label review for accuracy and compliance (supplement facts, claims, allergens)
- Support product recalls, mock recalls, and traceability exercises
- Train production staff on GMP, hygiene, and documentation practices
- Monitor sanitation, environmental controls, and pest control programs

Qualifications

- QA experience in dietary supplements, food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics manufacturing
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations
- Strong attention to detail and valuable documentation practices (GDP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with an electronic QMS is an asset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
