Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to work closely with the Plant Manager and Director to maintain production and support equipment throughout our manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and general maintenance to help ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

· Perform maintenance and repairs on primary and support production equipment.

· Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs using equipment testing, vibration analysis, and other diagnostic techniques.

· Troubleshoot and repair conveyor belts, packaging machines, labelers, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, valves, cylinders, conveyance systems, gearboxes, and pumps.

· Plan and perform machine installations and alignments.

· Fabricate machinery and components as required.

· Operate machine tools, including lathes and milling machines.

· Use fabrication equipment, including welders, brakes, presses, power threaders, and punches.

· Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

· Install and set up components using vendor manuals, including sensors, motors, and speed controls.

· Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs to minimize production downtime.

· Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

· Perform other maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications





· 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Welding certificate and/or welding experience required.

· 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) licence is an asset.

· Experience safely operating shop equipment, including lathes, mill saws, and milling machines.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

· Robust mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to work scheduled overtime as required.

Schedule

· Monday to Friday

· 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

· Occasional Saturdays

· Full-time

Compensation: $30.00–$45.00 per hour.
