Senior Marketing Executive

Our client is a leading global consumer electronics and technology business with an established presence across the Canadian market. They are looking to appoint a Senior Marketing Executive to lead their marketing function and play a key role in driving continued commercial growth.

This is a senior leadership position, responsible for overseeing a marketing department of approximately 15 employees and developing and executing the marketing strategy across the business.

The Role

As Senior Marketing Executive, you will take ownership of the company's overall marketing strategy, ensuring marketing activity is closely aligned with commercial objectives and directly supports sales growth.

You will lead a team of around 15 marketing professionals, providing direction, developing talent and ensuring the department operates effectively and delivers measurable results.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Developing and executing the overall marketing strategy for the Canadian business
- Leading, managing and developing a marketing team of approximately 15 employees
- Working closely with senior leadership and sales teams to align marketing activity with commercial objectives
- Developing campaigns and initiatives designed to increase brand awareness, customer engagement and ultimately sales
- Taking ownership of the marketing budget and ensuring effective allocation of resources
- Using market, customer and sales data to identify opportunities and improve marketing performance
- Overseeing digital, traditional, retail, promotional and other marketing activities
- Ensuring the company's brand positioning remains solid and consistent across all channels
- Working closely with sales, product and commercial teams on product launches and go-to-market strategies
- Establishing KPIs and measuring the commercial impact and ROI of marketing activity




- Identifying new opportunities to grow market share and strengthen the company's position within the Canadian market
- Managing relationships with external agencies, suppliers and strategic partners
- Presenting marketing strategy, performance and recommendations to senior leadership

About You

We are looking for an experienced marketing leader who combines strong strategic thinking with a genuine commercial mindset.

You will ideally have:

- Significant senior-level marketing experience, preferably within consumer electronics, technology, retail, FMCG or another fast-moving consumer-facing environment
- Proven experience managing and developing a sizeable marketing team
- A strong track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies
- Demonstrable experience using marketing to drive sales and commercial growth
- Strong understanding of brand, digital, retail and integrated marketing
- Experience managing significant marketing budgets
- Excellent analytical and commercial decision-making skills
- The ability to work effectively with sales and other senior business functions
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- A hands-on, results-driven approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
