Administrative Assistant II - Part-time, Term - Clearwater B.C.
Yellowhead Community Services Society is a not for profit, integrated health/social service agency with offices located in Clearwater, Barriere, Merritt, Lillooet, and Ashcroft. We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant II - Part-time, 8 Month Term to join our team in Clearwater, BC.
Key Duties:
- Provide reception and front-office support, including answering and directing telephone calls, greeting clients and visitors, responding to general inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, scanning, data entry, correspondence, document preparation, record keeping, and maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
- Provide administrative support to programs, management, and other staff as required.
- Assist with basic day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, preparing and recording deposits and donations.
- Assist with general payroll administration, including entering payroll information, maintaining employee payroll records, and supporting payroll processing as required.
- Assist with other general administrative functions, including maintaining supporting documentation and ensuring records are complete and accurately filed.
Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, client, payroll, financial, and organizational information.
- Provide coverage for the administration team, as required.
- Perform other related administrative and bookkeeping duties as assigned.
Hours of Work:
Shifts will typically take place between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday – Wednesday, with the potential for picking up on-call shifts. This is a 8 Month Term (October 2026 – May 2027) Part-time position for 21 hrs per week. This term may be extended dependent on program needs and contract funding.
Qualifications:
A combination of office administration, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience is preferred. Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook, is required. A diploma or certificate in office administration, bookkeeping, business administration, or a related field is preferred; however, applicants with equivalent experience, demonstrated skills, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply and will be considered.

Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory criminal record check. A valid driver's licence, acceptable driver's abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle are required. Current First Aid certification would be an asset.

- Ability to operate standard office equipment and maintain organized electronic and paper records.
Compensation:
Rate of pay for this position is dependent on a combination of education and/or experience and ranges from $21.54 (Step 1) to $23.81 (Step 3). A competitive benefits package is available.

Mental Health and Substance Use Worker - Clearwater & Barriere B.C.

Part-time 20+ hours a week to join our team in Clearwater and Barriere, BC.
Key Duties:
- Assist Mental Health and Substance Use Clinicians with assigned clients, care coordination activities, and counselling team group programming, in consultation with the Counselling Program Manager.
- Coordinate Adult and Senior Psychiatry referrals and related follow-up activities.
- Support clients through the psychiatry referral and consultation process.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, MHSU clinicians, families, and community partners.
- Assist clients in accessing services, resources, and community supports.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate communication to facilitate psychiatry appointments.
- Maintain clinical documentation and required program records.
- Promote recovery, wellbeing, self-determination, and client strengths through a trauma- informed and person-centered approach.
Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development.
- Hours of Work
Shifts will typically take place between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday – Friday, but may include evenings and weekends depending on program needs. This is a regular part-time position for a minimum of 20hrs per week. Opportunities to increase hours, up to 35 hours per week, may be available through a blended role supporting other programs within YCS.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree from an accredited educational institution in an Allied Health, Behavioral, or Social Science field is preferred, however related 2-year diploma and relevant experience will be considered.

Compensation
Rate of pay for this position is dependent on a combination of education and/or experience and ranges from $34.86 (Step 1) to $40.44 (Step 3). A competitive benefits package is available.
