Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialized mobile equipment and truck-mounted systems, is looking for a skilled and hands-on Hydraulic Assembler to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanical or hydraulic professional with experience working on trucks, mobile machinery, construction equipment, or other heavy-duty equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and testing hydraulic systems used in specialized mobile equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install hydraulic components, hoses, tubing, valves, pumps, cylinders, fittings, and related systems on mobile and truck-mounted equipment.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, assembly instructions, and equipment specifications.
- Route, connect, secure, and properly terminate hydraulic hoses and lines.
- Install and connect hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, manifolds, reservoirs, and filtration systems.
- Perform hydraulic system testing to identify leaks, pressure issues, flow problems, and improper operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems as required during the assembly process.
- Work closely with electrical and mechanical assemblers to ensure hydraulic systems are properly integrated with other equipment systems.
- Perform equipment adjustments and modifications to ensure proper system performance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and other shop equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality and performance requirements.
- Follow established safety, quality, and assembly procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly handle hydraulic fluids and related materials.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning,
and testing of completed equipment.
- Work as part of a team to meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Hydraulic Assembler, Hydraulic Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, Mechanical Assembler, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience working with trucks, mobile machinery, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or other heavy-duty equipment is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting hydraulic hoses, fittings, pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and manifolds.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot hydraulic leaks, pressure issues, and system malfunctions.
- Robust mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic testing equipment.
- Experience working with mobile hydraulic systems or electro-hydraulic equipment is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
- Previous experience with truck-mounted equipment, PTO-driven systems, or specialized mobile equipment is an asset.
INDPTC
Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour
