Our client is a manufacturer of glass fiber polymer products, fiberglass pultruded products.

They are currently looking to hire for the position of Maintenance Technician

Location: Woodbridge

Shift: 12 hours shift:8 pm to 8am

Shift Schedule: Team 3 Sunday to Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.

Wage $25.00 per hour

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all the Pultrusion Lines are running and keeping up with the 24 /7 production schedule. The Maintenance Technician works with the Production Supervisor, Production Lead Hand and the Pultrusion Line Operators to keep all the lines running and making good fiberglass rebar. If there are no breakdowns, they will follow a list of daily preventive maintenance jobs given to them by the maintenance supervisor. When required they will assist in the set-up of new equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machinery and systems
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform immediate repair
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines
- Inspect the production facility to identify any issues
- Work with the production department to perform preventative maintenance activities
- Keep a record of all maintenance and service activities
- Conduct regular inspections to identify faulty equipment




- Any other duties as instructed by their supervisor

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods of manufacturing equipment
- Experience with the use of hand tools including but not limited to welding
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength
- Working for 12 hours standing and working on the pultrusion lines
- Must be able to lift between 20 and 40 lbs as required during their shift
- Must be able to kneel, stoop, squat and to stretch to fulfill tasks
- Requires grasping, pulling, pushing, standing, walking, and repetitive motions
- Willing to work a rotating work schedule

Work Setting:

- Growing production facility
- Mandatory PPE (Steel toed safety shoes, safety glasses) while inside the facility
