The Role

We are seeking an experienced, safety-focused Class 3 Driver to operate our heavy fleet vehicles for winter snow hauling.

In this dynamic local role, you will operate our tandem-axle dump trucks to haul, transport, and tip snow from busy commercial and industrial client sites to designated snow dumps across the Edmonton region. When operations require, you may also support yard management or loading tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Storm Response & Snow Hauling: Respond promptly to overnight and early morning storm callouts (24/7 on-call availability during winter weather events). Safely operate Class 3 tandem-axle dump trucks to haul and clear high volumes of snow.
- Team Coordination: Work in tandem with skid steer and loader operators for efficient, continuous lot clearing and truck loading.
- Compliance & Maintenance: Complete thorough commercial pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections. Ensure strict adherence to National Safety Code (NSC) regulations, safe load tarping, and legal axle weight limits.
- Safety & App Tracking: Use a personal smartphone to clock in/out, view digital site maps, and submit digital pre-trip logs, site photos, and FLHAs (Field Level Hazard Assessments) via the Connecteam app.
- Yard Support: Assist with shop upkeep, equipment checks, or yard snow management when weather permits.

What We Are Looking For

- Licensing:



Valid Alberta Class 3 Driver’s License (or Class 1) with an Air Brake (Q) endorsement.
- Clean Abstract: A commercial driver's abstract with minimal demerits, meeting company commercial auto insurance underwriting criteria (clean 5-year abstract required upon offer).
- Driving Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of proven commercial driving experience operating tandem dump trucks; winter snow hauling or plow experience is a major asset.
- Reliability & Transport: Must have dependable personal transportation to get to our shop/yard early in the morning during heavy winter storms.
- Smartphone & Tech Literacy: Working smartphone with active data service to run the Connecteam app for route sheets and digital safety logging.
- Professionalism: A reliability-first mindset, great communication skills, and a robust safety track record under icy, high-congestion conditions.
