Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you excel in your responsibilities.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages using proper techniques and equipment, including Micros POS systems.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards.
- Operate POS systems efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and sanitizing surfaces regularly.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including basic math calculations for transactions and change.




- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Follow all food safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and qualified demeanor.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods.

Job Types: Part time, Casual

Pay: $16.40-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9.0 – 15.0 per week
