Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Wire Machinist specializing in Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) on day shift. In this energized role, you will operate and program wire EDM machines to produce precision components with exceptional accuracy. Duties

- Set up and operate wire EDM machines, including Fanuc-controlled systems, to produce complex parts based on detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Program CNC wire EDM equipment using CAM software and CNC programming techniques to optimize machining processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accurate manufacturing.
- Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions and quality standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical discharge machining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling to prepare materials and perform minor adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by maintaining organized workstations, reducing waste,



and improving efficiency throughout the production process.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, including CAM programming for wire EDM operations.
- Must know Mastercam
- Manual machining is an asset.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T; principles for accurate part fabrication.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of electrical discharge machining processes and equipment such as CNC wire EDM machines.
- Experience with SolidWorks or CAD software for designing or modifying parts and tooling.
- Familiarity with CNC lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment like CNC milling machines controlled by Fanuc systems.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines confidently.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus for supporting diverse manufacturing needs.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments with a focus on quality control, assembly, welding, or tooling is advantageous.
