Your Role

As a Support Worker, you will support individuals in their homes and communities.

This role is about more than completing tasks. We are looking for employees who can build trust, use sound judgment, solve problems, maintain professional boundaries, and work independently.

A strong Support Worker knows when to step in, when to coach, and when to step back so the person can build confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities

- Support independence, choice, dignity, safety, and quality of life.
- Assist with personal care, daily living needs, meals, household tasks, laundry, and shopping as required.
- Teach and coach daily living skills rather than automatically doing tasks for individuals.
- Support medication routines in accordance with policy and training.
- Observe changes in health, behaviour, mood, mobility, or support needs and respond appropriately.
- Support participation in community activities, appointments, employment, recreation, and other personal goals.
- Build respectful qualified relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.
- Use initiative and sound judgment when working with limited direct supervision.




- Communicate concerns and important information promptly.
- Complete clear, accurate, and timely documentation.
- Work cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, families, and other members of the support team.

Required Qualifications

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Valid Manitoba Class 5F Driver’s Licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle for work-related use.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search, completed within the last six months.
- Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check completed within the last six months.
- Current Driver’s Abstract.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to complete electronic documentation and learn workplace technology.

Work Location and Schedule





This program operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Positions may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and statutory-holiday shifts.

Employees have a primary assigned location but may occasionally be required to support another Family Visions Inc. location or assignment based on operational needs

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $17.83-$19.88 per hour
